The mission of Hope 185 is to welcome children in the name of Christ by defending, protecting, and educating adolescents who are at risk of abuse and exploitation, following the example set by Jesus in Matthew 18:5. "And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me."
Vision
Our vision is to prevent and be a voice for adolescent victims of abuse and exploitation by working with community partners and providing preventative education to teachers, children, and families in rural Matagalpa, Nicaragua. By welcoming children into the family of Christ and demonstrating the full acceptance of His family, we seek to minimize risk factors currently present in these children's lives. We aim to shift a culture of rejection into a culture of acceptance.
