Sponsorship is not just about the physical needs—it also addresses the emotional and spiritual needs of each child, empowering them to break free from the cycle of poverty and realize their worth in Christ. Join us on this incredible journey of changing lives!

  • How does Hope Friend Sponsorship work?
Hope Friends provides you with an opportunity to help children who live in extreme poverty. Your support provides: food, clean water, medical care when needed, educational opportunities, and important life-skills training, but most important of all, your sponsored child will hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with God.
  • Why did the child sponsorship rate recently change?
When The Hope Project International started in Nicaragua in 2011, we began with just a few kids we tutored three times a week. After seeing the need, praying about it, and being nudged by God, we officially launched our sponsorship program. From the beginning, we decided it would be $20 per child. For over nine years, it has remained at $20. Our budget and food costs have increased astronomically in the last few years. Like the increase in expenses in the U.S., the same thing has happened in Nicaragua. This has made it harder and harder to provide for all the needs in our programs. Starting July 1 2023, our sponsorship program will go up to $30 per child monthly. Here’s what that means for all of our longtime sponsors. All new child sponsorships after July 1st will be signed up at the cost of $30 per month. If you have been sponsoring a child already, your price will remain $20 per month if you choose to. You won’t need to do anything different on your end. However, if you would like to increase your monthly sponsorship to $30 per month, we would be very thankful for you to do so. That is entirely up to you. If you would like to do that, just let us know, and we can change it for you. Thank you so much for your support and understanding, and thank you for your partnership with us in bringing HOPE to the hopeless.
